William Kleinfelder > This shot was taken during a trip to Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. The sun had just broke the horizon when we saw this guy, so lighting conditions were not the best. When we saw him he was working his way out to where there was a group of ducks. He appeared to be using the Mangroves as cover to stalk them. We stopped hoping not to disturb his hunt, but we were quickly.

William Kleinfelder > As we were making our last pass through Merritt island national Wildlife Refuge this guys ran across in front of us and in to the high grass. When we got out to take some shots he started to move further out. In doing so he spooked up a meadowlark, which flew a short distance and landed. He now did not care one bit that we were watching him and was completely focus on his prey. He did finally give up, but it was great getting to observe him doing what he does best...hunting.
William Kleinfelder > After giving up the hunt he posed for one last shot.

William Kleinfelder > This is one crazy bird! This started with the Sandhill and a Squirrel getting into a confrontation. After that was over this guy starts going off.....just doing his thing I guess? And if you are wondering I did not adjust the speed of the video he is just that spastic! This took place on Wedgefield Golf course, Orlando Florida.
